Kiketi

Kiketi village is situated 18 kilometers from Tbilisi, in the Mtatsminda District, and is known for its stunning natural beauty and outdoor activities. The village is 1,200 meters above sea level, on the southeastern part of Trialeti ridge.

Nature and Climate

The village has a distinct climate, with warm and dry summers, and cold winters. The average temperature in summer is around 23-26 C°, while in winter it drops to -2.5 C°. The mixed forest surrounding the village, comprising spruce, fir, oak, and beech trees, is particularly beneficial for people with respiratory issues.

Things to See

Kiketi has a rich history, with the first recorded mention of the village dating back to the 18th century. Archaeological findings, such as the Samarovani Bronze-age cemetery, suggest that the area has been inhabited for much longer. The 13th-century Kabeni Monastery and the Kabeni waterfall are also notable attractions in the area.

Outdoor Activities

Kiketi is a popular destination for cycling enthusiasts, with a bike path that starts at the Kiketi turn and crosses over the village, descending towards Asureti along a forest road. This path offers beautiful views of Kvemo Kartli.
