Things to See

The ancient fortresses of Gonio and Gvara are must-visit attractions, offering breathtaking views of the confluence of the Chorokhi and Machakhela Rivers. The ruins of Chkhutuneti Fortress are also worth exploring, with its 32-metre-long tunnel and stunning views of the surrounding landscape.

The region is also home to several impressive bridges, including the 11th-13th century Mirveti Arch Bridge and the 22-metre long Tskhemlara Arch Bridge, which is still in regular use today.
